Czech composer and violin virtuoso Jan Kubelik (1880-1940) was the subject of the famous Braque painting Violin: "Mozart/Kubelick" (sic) exhibited at the famous "Armory Show" in New York in 1913, giving rise to puns about cubist Braque being the one who put the "cube in Kubelik" and the "art in Mozart". His son was the famed conductor Rafael Kubelik (1914-1996). Slightly soiled. Minor nick in upper left corner. Vertical fold crosses music and "K" of signature. Otherwise, fine condition.
