Description: This sale is for an old violin with the label inside reads: Jacobus Stainer in Absam Prope Oenipontum 1665(more likely from Germany). This violin has fine grain, it is about 23" plus length and is in good shape, there is small hairline or crack above F hole (see pictures) and it has high arch. there are 2 bows come with this violin and one has some kind of label but it is hard to read and one has chipped tip(see pictures)and I removed chin rest and tail piece to be sure nothing covered (see pictures). I have posted several pictures showing almost every inch of it(see large images on the bottom of the page).
