Description: Italy - Original WW1 Italian Interallied Victory Medal with ribbon Maker marked, Stefano Sacchini Milan MakerGVF Condition on a newer polyester ribbon.The medal is circular, 36mm in diameter and was struck in bronze. The obverse of this medal depicts a winged Victory on a triumphal chariot drawn by four lions.The reverse depicts a ‘tazza’ from which two doves bearing olive branches fly and the date inscribed as; ‘MXMXIV’ ‘MXMXVIII’ (1914-1918). Around the upper rim is the inscription; ‘GRANDE GUERRA PER LA CIVILITA’ (The Great War for Civilization). At the base is the inscription; ‘AL COMBATIENTI DELLA NAZIONE ALLEATE ED ASSOCIATE’.
