But it is in remarkably good shape as you can see from the pictures. This particular bayonet was made in Italy in 1955. See date in pictures. Its serial number is 27855. These bayonets were made in Italy for the lend-lease guns the U.S.A. Provided Italy after the Korean War. The scabbard was made specifically for these blades in the style of the 1895 painted leather scabbard in use by Italy at the time. This one is in exceptional shape. This will fit and function correctly on an M1 Carbine with a bayonet lug in place. This is the bayonet that will be shipped if you buy it.
