Description: .....Beautiful Snuff Box or Treasure Pot designed and made by myself in the style of Trench Art.... .....Made from two Irish Free State / Eire One penny coins and some copper..... ... 1928 was the first year the coins of the new Irish Free State were minted.... A competition was held to design the new coinage.... Incredibly, the designs submitted by Englishman Percy Metcalfe were chosen... He later designed The George Cross... Irish coinage held the same value as Sterling until 1979..... These coins were minted in London at The Royal Mint.... .....Size Approx 31mm diameter, 18mm thick.. ....Both coins have been domed.... ......Nice fitting push fit lid.........
