Thank you for your support!--------------- SPECIMEN DESCRIPTION --------------- This specimen consists of a loose single, crudely terminated, very dark, Indicolite tourmaline crystal from the New Blue quarry in Newry Maine. It measures 1cm x 1.2 cm x 8 cm and weighs approximately 10 grams. There is a bubbly termination on the top surface where the crystal rehealed after a growth fracture during formation. Transparent on the edges, this crystal is very dark. Obtained from a collapsed pocket near the top of the old Martin workings. From the exploratory work done during the late 90s through early 2000s. Closed / exhausted locality.
