The box has been opened for this kit, but the parts remain shrink-wrapped in their original factory plastic. So, I believe it is accurate to call this model brand new. The kit also comes with instructions and decals.As shown in some of the photos, the box does show some signs of wear, but that in no way detracts from the actual model.
