Description: Charming pair of folk dancers. Since I am unsure what specific culture, Polish, Czechoslovakian, Hungarian or Russian I simply put "Slavic". I believe them to be antiques. I purchased them from a doll dealer in 1988 who told me at that time they were antiques, but I am not an expert. The aging of the costume materials suggests that they are very old. The hair on the male shows balding and I alien-taped a small piece underneath on each side to improve appearance. I am unsure what the composition of the dolls are, they have the appearance of porcelain, but I can't tell. The costumes look to be handmade. The faux leather boots are very worn and brittle, but you would expect that with extreme age. They are an adorable pair.
