Description: Vintage mid-century (1936-1959) Homer Laughlin Fiestaware Bowl Lot (x4): (1) Nappy 8 1/2" Vegetable BowlCIrca 1936-1969: Nappie is an old English word that describes an open serving bowl. The 8 1/2" nappy bowl is such an indispensable item that it is one of the few original pieces introduced in 1936 that ran the entire time of production and is even being made again today in the contemporary glazes. (1) Fruit Bowl -- 4.5" in Turquoise. Circa 1938-1959: The 4 ¾" Fiesta fruit bowl was added in 1938 as a smaller option of a tableware bowl. This example in the original turquoise glaze is an excellent and early example. (2) Cream Soup Bowls -- 5"; one in Turquoise (circa 1937-1959) and one Cobalt Blue (circa 1936-1951) - the Blue bowl has a few minimal flaws/signs of use - see last couple of pics Minimal flaws may be noted but the worst of it has been picturedAll very clean. from a smoke and pet-free environment
