Lightly-rubbed corners, minimal shelf wear. Volume 9: Italy, Submarine Warfare, August 1914 - November 1918, fronts piece of General Count Cadorna. Jacket chipped in places. Hinge starting to crack at title page, no other noted rips, tears, markings, missing pages. Cover in excellent condition with very bright gilt print along spine and no cover color fading. Lightly-rubbed corners, minimal shelf wear. Volume 10: Naval Battles, Personal Sketches, Peace Treaty, Chronology, Index. Fronts piece is New York's Victory Arch in Madison Square. No jacket. Hinge starting to crack pages 52 - 53. No other noted rips, tears, markings, missing pages. Cover in excellent condition with very bright gilt print along spine and no cover color fading. Lightly-rubbed corners, minimal shelf wear. The last picture shows a page with some damage.
