In original green faux leather boards with blind tooled squares containing gilt borders and flowers on covers and spines. With 217 beautiful color tipped-in plates of famous paintings throughout history and from across the world. 12.75”x 10.5” heavy folios. 633 total pages. Condition: VG OVERALL CONDITION: VG Both volumes are in VERY GOOD condition. Square spines with firm hinges and joints. Some light rubbing and dust soiling. A nick near crown of spine in volume II. Interiors have no writing, stickers or bookplates. Foxed pages, heaviest along edges and first and last quartile of each volume. Some of the plates are loose as the bonding has weaknened over the past 70 years. Please see pictures as they are an important part of the condition description.
