Description: Hip Flask with Gilt Wash Cup Sterling Silver Zimmerman 1942 English Vintage A & J Zimmerman Ltd (England, 1879-1930) Hip Flask, w/ Cup, c. 1942 gilt wash sterling silver 4 ⅝” high x 3” wide x 1” diameter Summary: Quality gauge hip flask with integral gilt washed cup and bayonet mount cap, made by A & J Zimmerman Ltd, circa 1942. Dimensions: 4 ⅝” high x 3” wide x 1” diameter Markings: fully impressed on the base, base of cup, side, and clasp hinge Condition: Vintage, Very Good Condition. For Accuracy: an antique it may show expected light signs of age. The lower section shows evidence that the cup has been used and two bottom corners of the cup have a very small dent. The pressure-fit cork has shrunk some with age allowing for leakage and requires fitting. Else excellent with a warm rich patina, bright gilt wash, a snug fitting cup and a secure cap.
