The back of the compact says 1989, the comb inside says 2001. I don't know why. I know that it was bought in Japan, I found this treasure while going through my childhood boxes from when I lived there. I just wanted to clear that up. The set is perfect for someone's collection. There are imperfections but it's still in really good condition. Please note the mirror on the right side when you are looking at the pictures. Will be shipped with care.
