Description: Hedley Fitton Original, Signed/framed Etching Proof? Very Early Unusual Specimen. In noticing, literally just now, that this print didn’t have a signature, I removed the print from the frame...clearly for the first time in many, many decades. I was surprised to find not only a signature, but other markings on the paper that is part of a larger backboard. There is numbering and handwriting aside from Fitton’s signature, leading my to question whether this was an original artist etching proof from the press? There is foxing, as pictured. This piece is large at 27” x 19”. A very unusual copy of Fittons work. This came from the estate of the first female doctors in the state of Maryland. Ships free. From the same estate is another work by Fitton. Please check my feedback. No disappointments here.
