I've put batteries ( 2 AA's per slipper) but the massage doesn't come on - don't know if my batteries are strong enough or not so I assume the massage just doesn't work. So they are being sold as slippers only. They are heavy so if you're looking for light weight slippers these probably won't work for you. Each slipper weighs almost 1 pound! PLEASE NOTE: Massage feature doesn't work!
