Both brothers in one location proved to be too much for either and they decided to dissolve their partnership in 1891. Charles Edward Haviland continued with the business-Haviland &co. and Theodore Haviland opened his own business, Theodore Haviland, Limoges, in 1893. Offered is a Haviland Limoges France set of 6 Salad Plates in Schleiger 113 - "SONDERBURG". The pattern features a border design of clover leaves accented with red flowers. The plates have a gold edge. They measure 7. 5 " in diameter. There are no chips, cracks or crazing, the gold edges are in overall good condition,very light utensil marks.
