Now Bear Family re-releases those two LPs separately, and the Christmas LP has been augmented with all of his commercial and non-commercial Christmas recordings... including ultra-rare early '50s Thesaurus transcriptions (studio quality records made for radio play only). The songs run the gamut from Silent Night, written back in 1818 to unforgettable hits from the great era of Christmas songs in the Forties and Fifties... together with some songs written especially for Hank's seasonal offerings.The core of this collection is Hank's 1967 LP, 'Christmas With Hank Snow,' but it has been augmented with his early '50s Christmas EP, rare LP tracks, Christmas singles, and never-commercially-available Thesaurus transcriptions. One of the songs, Christmas Roses had special significance for Hank: he used it as part of a Christmas radio show that he put together for foreign radio stations.
