Description: For auction is a very hard to find lighting shade made by an unknown maker. The shade has the quality level of The Handel Lamp Company of Meriden Connecticut. It was also found not to far from there. The shade stands 4 1/2" tall to the top fitter lip and is 4 1/8" square at the bottom. The shade measure 5 1/2" diagonal measurement. The shade will hang down about 4 1/2" from the fitter when mounted. The fitter neck measures 2 1/8" and will fit any standard 2 1/4" fitter cup.The shade has a wonderful Arts and Crafts geometric shape. The shade displays a beautiful Kokomo textured blue lavender opalescent slag glass background color. This is a multi colored stained glass. You can see blue, lavender, green, pink and other colors. The glass on the outside is smooth and the texture is on the inside. There is very beautiful glass in this shade. The glass is wrapped in a brass channel very similar to the Handel Lamp Company. The shade is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no post factory cracks, or chips. There is minor wear to some of the metal but nothing too obtrusive. The shade is not signed but without a doubt it is as good as The Handel Lamp Company and better. Those of you who collect shades especially hard to find ones will surely welcome this into your Collection. This shade is an excellent example in both form and color. It will work great with Mission, Arts and Crafts style décor. You can use this in a Wall Sconce, Floor or Table Lamp as well as the multi-light Pan Chandeliers. This shade was made circa 1905-1915 based on the glass in the shade. PLEASE READ BELOW I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of the year 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
