Description: I have been practicing with my Lathe on reclaimed wood seeing what kinds of shapes I could create. Before I knew it I had quite a few wands. The wood I have had on hand came from some pine, red oak, wooden closet poles and curtain rods, and even some pieces from our firewood stack. They all are different sizes and shapes (photos will include tape measure for reference). And I admit the quality varies as I practiced and the quality of the wood varies, but I believe that any quirk or incongruity in each wand gives it a unique personality. So, Hopefully, some of these will choose you through your screen as you look at them. This could be a great addition to your renaissance costume or a gift for a young wizarding world fan who dreams of their own wand. This wand in the photos was one of the first I made, so I am not 100% on its details. I think the wood is Hickory and is 11 3/4 inches long. I do not think I stained the wood but I did finish it with mineral oil and bees wax.As I am a maker, I am open to discussing custom woodwork and maker projects of all kinds but please be aware that I make things in my spare time. Custom work may take a while.
