Description: You are bidding on a set of SIX American GI's, which I hand panted in 54 mm to represent these U. S. Army troops in August of 1944 as the fought across France to reach Germany! After the successful, but costly Normandy landings on June 6th and later, the GI's wasted no time in driving the German Army back to Germa ny as the tide of WW II was turning in favor of the Allies! These figures all in different action poses, in familar olive drab and khacki unitorms and trim, include a laying GI firing a BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle), a kneeling GI firing his M4 Garrand rifle, another kneeling figure firing his Thompson Submachine gun, another kneeling figure tossing a hand grenade with his rifle in his other hand, a radioman calls dramatically for artillery support as they face an unsee German armored unit in their front, and the last GI, an officer, fires his Colt .45 Automatic while he holds his rifle in his other hand! The set includes SIX figures from the set of TWELVE figures from Classic Toy Soliders "full round" WW II infantry soldier set! These "full round" figures are made with more than two molds, which customarily how toy soldiers have been made, but allow for more details to develop more realistic poses!.Most of the figures are dressed in typical US Army jackets and steel helmets, many with the normally worn leggings, with belts carrying ammo pouches and canteens! The officer wears a shorter shell jacket, tailored a little more carefully than the typical infantry soldiers! Belts, straps and and shoes were normally in olive, or kacki as shown and all wear the normal brown boots. Their weapons and equipment I painted to accurately depict them as they would have appeared during World War II by American GI's! And I have included the hand painted Marx (recast) sandbags with the set for added realism! And be sure to see a companion set Classic Toy Soldier GI's in a heavy weapons group, which will be listed tomorrow! And keep in mind I will combine shipping for two or more sets that you win in the same week! After hand painting all of my soldiers and accessories with quality acrylic paints (bright trim is done in enamel), I overcoat them with acrylic flat finish to give them a museum type finish as well as giving them a protective coat over the painted details, and sign and date the bases! This highly detailed and the U. S. Infantry set would make an interesting looking display in most anyone's World War II display or 54 mm toy soldier collection!! And with the 80th Anniversary of this momentous event in our Nation's history going on, a neat way to display your remembrance of the brave soldiers who fought for us there! I've hand painted over 22,650 soldiers for collectors in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and even Japan in the last twelve years! My Toy Soldier background began as a child on my first trip to Gettysburg, over 50 years ago, and I suit up in my complete Union Artillery sergeant's uniform to teach the Civil War to my late wife's 5th Grade class each year! Check my feedback to see what my 3,253 customers think of my hand painted soldiers! I also accept PayPal for payment, and buyer would be responsible for $10.50 Priority Mail shipping and insurance.
