Description: Very Nice Griswold No. 8, P/N 1034, Iron Mountain, deep cast iron skillet/chicken fryer. Made in Erie, Pennsylvania by the Griswold Manufacturing Company from the 1930's-1940's. CONDITION: Skillet is in good vintage condition. Skillet has small wobble at the 10 and 4 o'clock positions on hard smooth granite countertop corrected by 3 index cards. Cooking surface is smooth with several utensil marks noted throughout the cooking surface (see pics). Lines on logo and numbering are crisp and clear. Skillet does not spin, has no cracks, rust, or repairs. Please see photos as part of description. ~Disclaimer: All vintage and antique cast iron typically shows some signs of wear including light utensil marks, discoloration, and minor pitting. RESTORATION: This vintage piece of cast iron has been carefully cleaned to bare iron using a combination of electrolysis, lye, and vinegar.
