It's from the the Collection series, model RJ-85. This is said to be a Gretsch Rock Jet type that was manufactured for only one year by Greco, which was known for copying various expensive American-made guitars and was even sued by Gibson. The WF-140, a White Falcon copy, and the K-FA, a 6120 Nashville copy, were made by Fujigen, so it's highly likely that this model was also made by Fujigen. It doesn't have f-holes, so it doesn't have a Greco serial number tag, only a serial number on the back of the neck.There's a story that Gretsch decided to make Japan their distributor and manufacturer after seeing Gretsch copies from Kanda Shokai's Greco brand. Since this was made around the time Kanda Shokai became Gretsch's distributor in Japan, the number of units produced is likely to be small.
