Spells that are both blue and white cost 2 generic mana less to play, so you can get massive discounts on expensive cards cards like Dream Trawler or Lavinia of the Tenth. One of the themes of the deck are flying creatures. You'll swing for huge damage with creatures like Kangee, Sky Warden and achieve excellent card selection with creatures like Siani, Eye of the Storm. There are a few extra cards that will slow down and "tax" your opponents like Windborn Muse, but the deck is not built around that. Grand Arbiter is an infamous commander because people really don't like effects that make their spells more expensive. This often makes it difficult to keep him in play because your opponents will focus their removal spells on him.
