Description: Gorgeous Antique Violin with Original Bow and Case For sale is a seller-restored estate sale antique violin. The conditions of the violin, bow, and the case at the estate sale in Pittsburgh are shown in the last picture. Inside the violin, there are some words written on the bottom plate, not on a paper label. Unfortunately, the seller couldn’t figure out all the words. The words or letters below are his interpretation: “Mathias ?berl?????????? In Salzburg M???? 1695” Also, there are signs of a grafted scroll. However, the seller considers that this is a fake grafted scroll, but he maybe wrong. The one-piece back plate is gorgeously flamed. The violin, bow, and the case have been restored to fully functional conditions as shown in pictures. The violin is amazingly beautiful for its obviously old age, with a few noticeable dings. The seller also rehaired the bow, which is a high quality pernambuco bow that is straight and nicely curved, very valuable and a rare find nowadays. The fiberglass case is in excellent usable condition, as shown in those pictures. The seller considers that the sound of this violin is spacious and warm, well balanced with a strong and robust lower register, a reliable middle register, and a sweet upper register. If you have any questions, please contact the seller. Shipping to continental 48 states only.
