Goodyear Hi-Way Patrol Woman’s Bicycle, 1950’s, w/ New Departure Hubs, New Tires

Description: Note: Will only ship to lower 48 US states, nowhere else Goodyear Hi-Way Patrol Women’s 19’ Bicycle, Serial # R546075 with new balloon tires (Bell Flat Defense) and tubes. This bicycle is 70 years old, so has some scratches, some rust, discoloring, a rip/hole in the saddle/seat. I believe everything is original, but know the Goodyear tires wore out and were thrown away. New balloon tires (Bell Flat Defense), and tubes were installed a couple of years ago. The bike was purchased at a Goodyear dealer in the 1950’s, riden, then stored for decades. Our father cleaned it up a few years back, installed the new tires, tightened all the bolts, etc, so it could be riden. The Brand: These bicycles were built by Corbin and also Columbia. We believe this bicycle was built by Corbin and also believe it is a 1954, but CANNOT CONFIRM the manufacturer or year of production. The Hubs: The Model D was made from 1934-1959 and there were many small changes during production. These are roughly dated by the type of brake arm. Although they all look very similar there are dimensional differences that, if mismatched, can cause performance issues. It should also be noted that these hubs come in a variety of finishes including chrome and cad as well as black for the wartime model hubs. The Model D is the most prevalent hub found on American balloon tire bikes. Serial #R546075 Saddle: Looks original, but cannot confirm.
