Description: For sale is a fine Japanese porcelain lidded box with Imari style decoration. The box is 2 ½ inches tall and the lid is 2 7/8 inches in diameter. The piece is decorated with flowers in underglaze blue, with overglaze enamels and gold. The box is marked inside the lid with a square underglaze blue mark. The mark may read “AOKI”, short for a noted Arita manufacturer of the 20th century. Condition on the box is fairly good. There is one tiny chip on the inner rim of the lid, but that is it. A nice piece of Japanese porcelain, priced to sell!
