Joe A Real American Hero #21 (Mar, 1984) by Marvel Comics [comic was actually released in July of 1985-a quick check of the "Marvel Check List' printed inside shows that this printing was actually released when G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #37 was available on newsstands]. Third printing. Direct sales edition. Silent Intruder. This issue: Snake-Eyes goes on a solo mission to rescue Scarlet being held prisoner at Destro's castle. Featuring the first appearance of Storm Shadow and the Red Ninjas! Note: this comic is very hard to find in true high grade. Story and art by Larry Hama. Cover art by Ed Hannigan and Klaus Janson. Don't miss out on this cool comic! A comic in this grade shows some significant moderate wear, but still has not accumulated enough total defects to reduce eye appeal to the point that it is not a desirable copy. Comic is graded in very good+ (VG+) condition according to the Overstreet Price Guide grading guidelines. Fits the criteria of Very Good but with an additional virtue or small accumulation of virtues that improves the comic's appearance by a perceptible amount. Check scans closely for condition and defects. Defects include those consistent with a copy graded in very good condition; cover shows moderate to significant wear, can have an accumulation of dimples and creases, corners may be blunted or abraded, some discoloration, fading, foxing and even some soiling are allowed, multiple bindery defects are allowed, moderate spine roll may be present along with a one-inch spine split, discolored staples as well as some rust migration, the centerfold may be loose or detached at one staple. Note: Bindery stresses mostly along spine on front cover and reading kinks mostly on back cover plus a small spine split at bottom spine corner. No tears or folds on comic and no missing pieces, writing or cut-outs. Cover is attached and centerfold is tight. Some light ink rubbing present on back cover-mostly along the white margins. There is a slight cover overhang along top edge of back of comic-an obvious printing error resulting from printing of comic. Cover gloss is superb; moderate to high ink reflectivity. Pages are white. This comic will ship in a bag and backing board securely and safely within a Gemini cardboard mailer for $5.95, which includes tracking number and insurance.
