Description: German Savings Bank of Chester, Iowa 1909 Bank draft payable to Drovers Deposit National Bank of Chicago, ILBlack on white paper with orange tint Vignette: a tropical scene of a woman carrying fruit. Though this check is from 1909, the vignette originated in 1868 with Continental Bank Note Company and was used on a 2 ounce tobacco taxpaid stamp (Springer TF2) and a 20 lb. stamp (Springer TF11) issued in that year.
