Description: La Tauromaquia This is a framed Limited Edition colored lithograph on wove paper by Georges Braque. This 1960 framed work is entitled "La Tauromaquia" (Bullfighting.) The art is Hand Signed in pencil by the artist and from the very limited edition of just 75 pieces. This piece is numbered 32/75. The art also includes a Park West Gallery Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and an appraisal dated April 8, 2010. This is a colorful bullfighting-themed lithograph. Please view the photos to see the color and detail of the image created by Braque. Georges Braque (1882-1963) is best known for his work with Picasso as a co-founder of Cubism. He also had a long career that continued beyond Cubism. He was well known for his painting, drawing, sculptures, and printmaking. In his art career his style changed during wartime to show more subdued works. In between wars, his art reflects freer and lighter images. Although Braque used styles that reflected Impressionism, Fauvism and collages, he never strayed from from Cubism. The art world considers Braque a very important artist. The framed art measures approximately 32 1/2" X 27 1/2." The paper art is 13 1/4" X 8 5/8." Both the art and the frame are in excellent condition.
