George Brett 1990 Publications International sticker

Description: George Brett 1990 Publications International sticker Item is Near Mint or better ONE mini sticker. Sample of players in the set but the NAMED PLAYER ONLY. From a set of 648. Stickers are 1-3/8" x 1-13/16". There is no identification on the sticker except name. This issue is titled 1990 PUBLICATIONS INTERNATIONAL STICKERS in the Beckett Almanac. This title is the publishing company's name. This company also released two other issues titled "HOTTEST 50" sets in 1990 which are larger, JUMBO stickers. One set was 50 "Rookies" and the other 50 "Stars" As pictured, some "League or Young Stars" have two stickers. For those players with two, generally one action and one portrait, there is no obvious way to decide which specific numbers were assigned to their stickers in the Almanac. Sometimes both stickers can be found as an attached pair, BUT because of the sheet arrangements some players' stickers were NOT in adjacent positions and NOT available paired up. The Beckett Almanac incorrectly states "...stickers bound in a book." Actually there was a "Kit" consisting of the magazine and a separately sealed batch of 18 sheets of 36 stickers (in alphabetical order), placed side by side in a flat blister pak. The magazine booklet is designed so that the stickers could be mounted in a SPECIFIC numbered location by team. The first team in the booklet is the Dodgers and the last is the Orioles. This is how the Beckett Almanac assigned #'s. This is similar in format to the Panini and Topps sticker albums. FYI, there are a few players, with COVER mini cards similar to the RED FOLEY 'cut cover' cards. As an added note for collectors looking for stickers from a set once listed in the Beckett Guides as 1990 VENEZUELA STICKERS, THIS IS IT! Or actually, there is NO Venezuela set. This PI set was mistakenly listed a second time by my friends at Beckett when they received a partial set of sheets and were given information that the set was produced in Venezuela. The original sealed PI set has a label "printed in Yugoslavia" and perhaps someone's memory confused that with Venezuela?? Combined Shipping on multiple purchases.
