Description: This piece is a drypoint etching by Gene Kloss, who is considered one of the most prominent printmakers of the Twentieth Century. Her work is collected by museums throughout the world. This particular piece is # 17 from an edition of 25. It is signed in the lower right hand corner and titled "ON WINDY POINT" and numbered #17/25 in the lower left hand corner. This etching was done in 1977 and we purchased it from Gallery A in Taos, New Mexico, in 1978. Since that time the etching has been carefully stored in a smoke free environment. The artist's note at the bottom of the paper states that the subject is located "In Southwestern Colorado". The image measures 11 3/4" X 14 3/4" and is #544 in the Catalog Raisonne. There are two light tape hinges on the two upper corners of the paper (just as it came from the gallery) as shown in the seventh, eighth, and ninth photographs. The etching itself is in excellent condition and will be carefully packaged and shipped insured.
