Description: This gate has been many years in the collection of all these s shaped wrenches giant spanners and huge nuts that i sourced from someone locally that makes them for bridges . It’s massive and heavy. I did actually make it for myself the wheel was added to take the weight off the hinges and wood post i intend to use . The hinges and wheel would add to the actual width. This was custom made by me you wont find another and nearly all the wrenches are antique not modern . I am an English furniture restorer by trade. You will notice a little cast iron frog climbing up the gate at the base and although the wrench feeding baby wrenches is a little played out these days and not unique to me , the bolt nest and the bird perhaps add a little non generic interesting focal point . The bird nest actually is the handle for a latch and can pivot to open a latch by way of nut and bolt passing through the gate .. it has been primed with rust oleum primer for rust and could be spray painted any color you desire. It is manageable with a dolly and could be truck shipped i know a few furniture movers that could move it or come get it with a pickup truck. The item was completed recently and has never been hung or used as a gate yet.
