Description: Up for sale from my collection is a Superb original “Full Plate” Ambrotype Photograph taken at “Table Rock Falls” located at “Niagara Falls”. Photographed by Photographer “Edward Davis”, who was in operation near the falls from 1855 through 1860. This view shows a young couple photographed in front of the falls on a sunny summer day. The young woman sits dressed in a wonderful white dress and holding a small umbrella to shield herself from the hot sun. A wedding photo perhaps to remember the occasion. Her male company sits on the ground lounging on a large bear skin! A number of large logs can be seen scattered behind the couple, washed ashore by higher water levels. This example still retains the original paper mat from Davis which denotes the location. A wonderful image. I had this professionally framed in a high-quality period looking frame from one of the best guys in the industry and mounted and spaced so it shows the original guilt frame by the photographer and still together with the original glass and covered in the new frame with Museum glass. A great package ready to hang in your home, Stunning. Size of plate is 8 ½” by 6 ½” and size framed, 14” by 12” by 1 ½” Deep. I am selling this Beautiful Ambrotype Full Plate at No Reserve for, $ 2350.00 and this will include FREE PRIORITY SHIPPING anyplace in the US. I accept all forms of payments through Ebay.
