Description: Fred Koch Brewery Prohibition Era Soda Bottle - Dunkirk, NY This is a hard to find 1920's era soda bottle from the Fred Koch Brewery in Dunkirk, NY. It features their signature logo of the period. It is approximately 8" tall. In the 1980's Koch's was absorbed by a larger (Genesee) brewery ending a brewing tradition that Dunkirk, NY enjoyed for over 100 years! Koch's was one of the thousands of small community brewers that dotted the landscape and then disappeared in the face of competition from the major breweries. Today these little companies would be called micro-breweries and they would be experiencing a resurgence. Since the brewery closed memorabilia has continued to become harder to find.
