Description: WOW! FRANK McCARTHY ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING!! 15 x 23 in. Titled "BATTLING BUCKS". Signed lower left. McCARTHY was a LONG time member of the COWBOY ARTISTS of AMERICA! Probably done in the 1960's or early '70's as a story illustration in Outdoor Life or other magazine, possibly for advertisement. Although known for his Westerns, he did MANY wildlife paintings when he was illustrating; including many covers for Outdoor Life Magazine. Also, did MANY paintings used for movie posters; including FOUR of the early James Bond movies such as "Thunderball", others included one of my favorites: "Dirty Dozen"!! Unfortunately he passed away back in 2002. GREAT artist! Was there EVER anyone better at action scenes than McCARTHY? Great condition, and nicely framed! Frame size is approx. 19 x 27. Rare opportunity to get an original by a GREAT artist at a reasonable price!!
