Quadruple screw, 24 knots, four steam turbines, two masts and four funnels. Launched September 20, 1910. Her passenger accommodations were for 535 first, 440 second, 950 third. Maiden voyage Have-New York April 20, 1912. In service during World War I as FRANCE IV for the French Navy. Used as a troopship and also in role of hospital ship. Returned to passenger service in August 1919. Converted from coal to oil fuel in 1923.
