Description: I have for sale a French adult education medal that was awarded in 1908. The medal is gilded metal, it is two inches in diameter and in slightly circulated condition. It was struck at the Paris mint and the medalist was Alphee Dubois. On the rim it reads 1 Argent. The obverse shows a female standing with her hand on a book next to other books on a table. A globe is at her feet. Above the book is a lighted oil lamp. On the book I think it reads ADULT EDUCATION in French. On the reverse at the rim, I believe it reads MINISTRY OF PUBLIC EDUCATION in French. In the center circle it has the year 1908 & who it was awarded to.
