Description: An ORIGINAL (not a modern reproduction) signed woodblock print by Japanese artist Kuniyoshi (1797-1861), dated 1854. The scene depicted is from Act VI of The Storehouse of Loyal Retainers.This print was purchased at the now-closed Rare Old Prints in Royal Oak, Michigan in 1986. It is framed in a delicate gold wood frame with archival materials. This same print can be found in the collection of the Boston Museum of Art. Framed dimensions are 15 1/2" high x 20" wide. A beautiful addition to any collection of rate Japanese prints from the Meiji era.
