Description: Up for sale is an ORIGINAL, NICE WW2 era - Mixed Media on paper (ink, crayon?) by well-known artist and satirist William Gropper. William Victor "Bill" Gropper (December 3, 1897 – January 3, 1977) was a U.S. cartoonist, painter, lithographer, and muralist. A committed radical, Gropper is best known for the political work which he contributed to such left wing publications as The Revolutionary Age, The Liberator, The New Masses, The Worker, and The Morning Freiheit. It is professionally framed and under glass in a wooden frame. It measures approximately 16" x 19". There are some nicks and scratches and chips on the frame and the glass/frame could use cleaning. It is in GOOD Condition and the actual drawing is approximately 10 1/2" x 12". It has not been examined outside of the frame/glass. There is some light browning, toning, and spotting to the drawing. A perfect piece for any collector! Other dings here and there. Please email with questions and see my store for other great items.
