Description: Parting out a Foley (Belsaw) model 387 Automatic saw filer. Here is the “Motor & related brackets” This Assembly consists of all of the parts that make up the Motor Mechanism, (see exploded view photo). These parts are: Motor (#370048), Motor mount (#387043), Friction Wheel Guard (#387064), Cord Clip (#370933), Friction Drive Wheel * (#358043)* PLEASE NOTE: this assembly is complete EXCEPT for the attaching bolts. Additionally, the Friction Drive Wheel DOES NOT HAVE the rubber wheel. That appears to have been worn off. This part is easily manufactured from a round piece of rubber (easily acquired from most hardware stores). The steel shaft however IS present. Add your rubber wheel and you’re in business. All other parts for the assembly are present, clean, and in good working order and could be put directly into use. The motor has been tested and works properly. NOTE, the motor had obviously been adopted for a remote switch (many users did similar so that the machine could be turned on/off from the front of the machine. The cord for the switch has been cut (see photo). While the switch is not present, the motor DOES FUNCTION PROPERLY. Simply add a switch and you are in business. I am parting out a fully functioning Model 387 machine, and have many parts left, this assembly came from that machine and is in good clean working order.
