Description: This is a wall hanging of a Japanese Screen, Ashikago period, by Genga (active early 16th century) made by Caspari for the Smithsonian Institution's Freer Gallery of Art (WE 125-11132). It is framed in stained glass and does have one minor crack in the top center of the stained glass frame as shown in the photos. It is a beautiful display piece of art work. Measures 19" wide and weighs 3 pounds 3 ounces.
