Description: RARE Antique Circa 1842-1894 Folly Bovey Tracey Pottery Asiatic Pheasants Flow Blue lidded vegetable serving bowl or dish with handles. What a stunning piece of Devon Ironstone pottery in one of the most popular Flow Blue Designs in history. An intricate oriental style pattern of soft blue flowers, pheasants and butterflies, this design will bring elegance and refinement to any table. An absolutely beautiful piece that could be the focal point of your curio cabinet and used on the dinner table with family for Holidays. This dish is in EXCELLENT condition, with NO CHIPS OR HAIRLINES! There is some minor crazing to the glaze and a few flea bite pin spots, as well as a few paint skips to the underside… all of which are very common in this age of pottery. I have taken very detailed pictures so please be sure to look at them all very thoroughly. I noticed that due to my lighting, some photos make it appear as if this dish has some light discoloration or staining, but that is NOT TRUE and is only due to the shadows from my lights. There isn’t a makers stamp to the underside, but I’ve been assured by several blue and white collectors that this is a Folly Bovey Tracey piece. The bottom of the dish is impressed with several numbers which appear to be: 5 05. Measures 10 3/8” Across Handle to Handle with a depth of 2 1/2”. With the lid it measures about 6” High to the tip of the handle knob. Having an inside diameter of 7” square, it has a 9” Width across (opposite from the handles), as a one inch rim surrounds the bottom piece to protect from spillage. This is such an amazing piece, and quite RARE, that it was very hard for me to list and want to part with… but my house is overflowing and I need to start parting with some of my favorites. All items are packed with bubble wrap and peanuts to ensure a safe arrival. Shipping cost includes insurance. My pictures are part of my description so please be sure to look at them carefully. Please add my store to your favorites as I list vintage items each week…many of which are Rare and Hard to Find! I have 100% Positive feedback so buy with confidence.
