Description: Presented is a wonderful set of 12 antique Durgin sterling silver salad or dessert forks. These forks are made in the Tulip pattern, which began production in 1898. As the name suggests, this pattern features a design of tulip flowers and leaves along the handle, done in the realistic but flowing style of the Art Nouveau time period to which it dates. The forks have a gold wash to the bodies/tines, so the silver will not be effected by things like acidic salad dressings. There is a monogram of C in Gothic lettering to the front of each handle. This set of forks is in excellent condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. The gold wash is in great shape. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs. Each piece is stamped sterling as well as the maker's mark for Durgin. Each fork measures about 6 inches long. This total weight for the set is 345 grams or 12.2 regular ounces. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
