Description: The 50 Dollar Fijian banknote from the 1996 series depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Its obverse side features a flying Kacau bird, a domodomo as a registration device, flowers, the Coat of Arms of Fiji, and Her Majesty The Queen. The reverse side features soldiers with rifles at the flag-raising ceremony, a Cession Stone with a plaque on Ovalau, and six seated men signing the deed of cession in 1874. A domodomo and flowers are also printed on the lower right. The note is 156 x 67 mm in size and is equipped with a Fijian head watermark and Windowed security thread to enhance its security features. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
