This ferro rod puts out showers of sparks 5500F light a fire in any conditions. Start a fire anywhere, in snow, rain or wind with this unique heavy duty ferro rod. Perfect for survival kits, preppers, backpacking, bug out kits, hiking or camping. Customer Review This is a solid, well built fire starter. The item feels great in the hand and will no doubt last for many years. The rod protrudes roughly 3 inches from the shell. A great shower of sparks is produced after the black coating is removed from the rod. I have large hands and this does not feel cumbersome to grasp or to strike. Did I mention that the rod is substantial when compared to a plastic handled striker. This is the fire starter to buy. Being able to buy a USA made, hand crafted item at this price point is amazing. I will be buying more for gifts. If I am willing to part with them. (I did not receive any discount or items for my honest non biased review)...AC It worked great!! no problems I`m not getting anything out of this I would buy this again great product made in the USA thank you for a great product!!
