I've had this book for decades, and it was well-cared for, stored away virtually undisturbed in all that time. Before offering it for sale, I carefully took the time to eyeball each page to make sure there was nothing obvious hiding in there that might otherwise be missed. Here is the generally-accepted description of a FN/VF comic book (as you can find on multiple online grading websites): 7.0 FINE/VERY FINE (FN/VF): An above-average copy that shows minor wear but is still relatively flat and clean with outstanding eye appeal. A small accumulation of minor bindery/printing defects is allowed. Minor cover wear beginning to show, possibly including minor creases. Corners may be blunted. Inks are generally bright with a moderate reduction in reflectivity. Stamped or inked arrival dates may be present. Minor foxing. The slightest spine roll may be present, as well as a possible moderate color break. Staples may show some discoloration. Slight staple tears and a small accumulation of light stress lines may be present. Slight rust migration. Paper is cream to tan. Centerfold is mostly secure. Minor interior tears at the margin may be present. (I include this description so you can refer to it while following along with my observations below.) Surfaceflat, clean, still with some shine, and smooth! (not like glass or anything but still)Edge Weartake a look at those photos all you like -- you'll find only minor wear -- a bit of darkening on that right edge (visible in photos)Folds/Creasesno signs of any, on either sideWrinklingnone to be found -- this copy is very smoothCornersvery slight bluntingPrinting DefectsnoneArrival StampsnoneSpineactually looks fantastic -- yes, it's been read before; you can tell, but obviously it was done gently and left behind only minor wear -- not many color breaks and some very small spine ticks. No real stress lines. See the close-up, in-your-face side photos I provided.Spine Rollabsolutely noneTears/SplitsnoneStaplesonly very slight discoloration but no rust -- both look good and go all the way through to the centerfold. Not perfectly centered, as you can see, but not too far off.Back covershows some fading, particularly along that left edge -- obviously not as white as it must have been all those decades ago. No foxing that I can detect.SmudgesHolding the book up to the light, I really see next to nothing here of note.Surface build-upjust a touch on that back cover -- mostly it's the fading and no real build-up.Inner coversshows some Silver Age tanning, but clean.Page coloroff-whitePage conditiongood with no sign of brittleness; everything seems well attachedBOTTOM LINEThis copy more than meets and generally exceeds the various criteria laid out above (and I think I covered everything thoroughly). It is a flat, clean and smooth copy that I thought misses the mark on elvating all the way to VF, mostly due to the fading and darkened edges, but gosh, it's a solid upper-mid-grade copy. If you're looking for genuinely high-grade copy, you'll have to look elsewhere, but if you're okay with one the next level down, then this one might work for you. Do your research and find the other copies listed out there that claim that they're around this condition, and you'll often find copies that are clearly more worn or wrinkled than this one, or they give you two pictures only and don't even take the time to describe the book, so you're left with no idea of what you're getting, so how on earth would you even know? See what they're asking, and you'll find that this copy is competitively priced. Where do you get more details or camera angles than what I've provided? ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE! Look at my feedback and you'll see "item as described" posted over and over again! I cannot believe other sellers expect you to make a purchase decision with just one or two photos -- ridiculous -- you always see what you're getting from me!
