Old fold lines, some old staining around edges. Jones places an additional order for supplies to be picked up by his son when he arrives in Van Buren which included 6 lbs. of gunpowder and 10 lbs. of lead. Jones mentions he'd also take coffee and sugar if a good quality and price not to high. Evan Jones established the Cherokee Baptist Mission in 1839, and also established the Cherokee Press in Indian Territory. In 1884 he began publishing a newspaper in Cherokee and English called the Cherokee Messenger.
