Description: Epiphyllum 'Tassel' This classic is an Edward Stephans introduction from 1950 that is a "must have" for any serious Epi collector, yet still remains very rare in collections. The large cup-form flowers are one shade of pink, with 4 rows of petals that are narrow, pointed, crinkled and notched - with up to 90 petals. The innermost petals are short, with each row getting longer. A hybrid of unknown parentage, the plants have long and narrow, flat basket growth. A 70 year old variety that is still, unquestionably, one of the very best! In my top 10. A slower-growing variety that needs to be mature to bloom. The first few flowers may not show the full potential of what the flowers will become - don't panic (I did)! This offering is for one well-rooted and established cutting, with new growth showing or beginning to show, in a 3 1/4" pot - similar to what may be seen in the photos. These are not full plants but, rather, smaller, well-rooted cuttings that are just beginning to show signs of new growth, or new growth is already developing. If you don't want to have to wait for a cutting to root, this will save you a few steps and time. The young plant you will receive is healthy and true to name (and may show a few nicks and dings). Cultivation Instructions Included with Purchase! I've been growing and collecting Epiphyllums for nearly 50 years, and enjoy over 700 varieties in my collection. It would be hard to choose a favorite, but it would probably have to be the one that's right in front of me! All photos are of plants in my own collection - unless stated otherwise. Flower photos are for reference only. Not in bloom. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - SORRY - I ONLY SHIP TO THE US. I do combine shipping for multiple items - please request a new shipping total before checking out.
