Description: Empire Sterling Silver Weighted Glass Lined 4-3/4" Salt Pepper Shakers We are pleased to offer this lovely sterling silver salt and pepper shaker set No 232 manufactured by the Empire Silver Company of Brooklyn, New York. The company was founded in 1941 and purchased by Life Brands in 2014. These footed shakers have glass inserts on the interior. The bottoms are weighted and reinforced with cement. They are both marked "Empire Sterling Weighted 232." They are threaded at the opening and have screw on caps. These each have 10 holes but the holes in the pepper are larger than those in the salt. They stand about 4-3/4" tall and measure 1-3/4" wide. This set appears to have never been used. It is in excellent condition with no faults found - no corrosion or dents- very shiny and will not need polishing. Just highly collectible antique American made sterling silver pieces, displaying beautiful craftsmanship, that you are sure to want to add to your collection.
