Description: For sale is vinyl record by Emmylou Harris titled "White Shoes", originally released in 1983 by Warner Brothers Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers SH-2/SH-1, followed by an etched greek letter alpha "a" along with "B-18605", "SLM delta 5357" and "TML-M" . These etchings indicates that the record was mastered at The Mastering Lab of Hollywood, California before a lacquer was cut at Sheffield Lab Matrix of Santa Monica, California, before finally being made at Allied Record Company's pressing plant located in Los Angeles, California. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it in an archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, without any sleeve marks, surface scratches, scuffs or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading it as Excellent because of a few seconds of ticking during "On The Radio" and "Good News". Otherwise, it plays all the way through without any further surface noise, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. The cover is graded as Near Mint. The spine is Near Mint. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I bought it and still has a lot of life yet. This is still one of the best copies of this hard to find record that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find a first edition like this one, especially an Allied pressing.
